Joan Garcia-Roman
Joan Román García holds a PhD in Demography from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and is a researcher at the Centre for Demographic Studies. His research career has been closely linked to CED, where he has participated in projects funded by various national and international institutions. From July 2013 to November 2016, he worked as a research associate at the Minnesota Population Center at the University of Minnesota on the IPUMS Time Use project. His work spans a wide range of topics in demography, with a particular focus on the analysis of time use data. He has published extensively on time use across different life stages, particularly in relation to gender differences. His research has appeared in leading demographic journals, including Demography, Population and Development Review, and Demographic Research.
