Agnieszka Fihel
Agnieszka Fihel, PhD, is Research Fellow at the Centre of Migration Research, University of Warsaw, and Assistant Professor at Université Paris Nanterre. She defended her PhD thesis in economics in 2009 at University of Warsaw. She was awarded the scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science (2009) and the scholarship of the Polish Minister of Science for young prominent scholars (2012–2015). She stayed as a post-doc at the Institut national d’études démographiques (INED) in Paris (2009, 2011). Her research interests include contemporary demographic phenomena, such as international mobility in ageing populations and mortality patterns in countries of postcommunist transition.
