Michael Væth
Professor Michael Væth received his MSc in mathematical statistics from University of Copenhagen in 1974 and a PhD in statistics from University of Aarhus in 1979, where he was appointed associate professor in biostatistics in 1984. In the periods 1987-89 and 1992-93 he had leave of absence from the University of Aarhus to work as a statistician at the Radiation Effects Research Foundation in Hiroshima, Japan. Since 1994 he has been professor in biostatistics at University of Aarhus. For many years Michael Væth has taught pre-graduate and post-graduate courses in biostatistics for students in medicine and public health and he has collaborated extensively with researchers in medicine and dentistry.
