Vanessa di Lego
I am interested in issues related to health and mortality, specifically the methodological challenges and gender gaps in mortality, as well as in the longevity of specific subgroups and selection in mortality studies. I also have an interest in health inequalities, aging, formal and mathematical demography. I have a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with a minor in Philosophy, and an MA and PhD in Demography. I am currently working as a research scientist at the Vienna Institute of Demography, under the ERC project "Levels and trends of health expectancy: Understanding its measurement and estimation sensitivity," headed by Marc Luy.
