Atsede Desta Tegegne
Atsede D. Tegegne was born on July 12, 1976, in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia. Atsede completed her first degree in Geography in 2003 and her MSc in population studies and reproductive health at Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia, in 2007. She served as socioeconomic expert at Amhara region's regional urban planning institute. Then she joined the University of Gondar in 2011 as academic staff in the department of Population Studies. Currently, she is working on her doctoral study on population change scenarios, nature of migration, and its implications in rural Northwest Ethiopia at the department of Economics and Social Sciences at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences (BOKU), Vienna, Austria.
