Olusesan Makinde
Olusesan A. Makinde is a population health scientist with training in medicine, epidemiology, health informatics, and project management at the University of Ibadan in Nigeria and Johns Hopkins University, USA. He is currently enrolled in a part-time doctoral degree program in demography and population studies at the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. He is the managing partner for Viable Knowledge Masters, a fledgling research and consulting firm in Nigeria. He has provided technical expertise to a wide range of donors and international organizations, including UNICEF, the WHO, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, USAID, the CDC, and the Government of Nigeria. His research interests are in health information systems, child health, health policy, human rights abuses, program evaluation, and disease surveillance.
