Sergi Vidal
I am a social demographer (PhD, Universitat Pompeu Fabra), currently appointed at the Centre for Demographic Studies in the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona as a Ramón y Cajal research fellow, and at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra as an adjunct lecturer. I am also a fellow of the ARC Centre of Excellence for Children and Families over the Life Course. I have substantive expertise in several fields of demographic research –including family dynamics, residential mobility and internal migration– and social inequality research –including within-couple gender inequalities, housing tenure, labour market outcomes, and union membership. My research adopts life course and cross-national approaches, and uses state-of-the-art quantitative methods for the analysis of longitudinal data.
