Li Ma
Li Ma received her PhD in Sociological Demography from Stockholm University in 2014. Thereafter, she worked as research fellow at Stockholm University Linnaeus Center on Social Policy and Family Dynamics in Europe, researching on fertility and fathers’ uptake of parental leave in Sweden, as well as life-course transitions in China. During 2016-2017, she worked as Marie Curie postdoctoral researcher (funded by the Marie Curie Actions of European Commission) at the Center for Demographic Research, Université catholique de Louvain in Belgium, conducting research on social policy, life-course transitions and family dynamics in China.
Her research focuses on 1) socioeconomic-demographic characteristics, school outcomes, and well-being of children and adolescents in the Nordic countries; 2) childbearing and fathers' uptake of parental leave in Sweden; and 3) social policy and family dynamics in East Asian societies.
