Nadia Sturm

Nadia Sturm is a PhD student at the Centre of Sociological Research (CeSO). Her project analyses the relationship between socioeconomic status and fertility outcomes and whether a change in the educational gradient of family formation processes such as union formation and timing of first birth is visible. She studied Social Sciences (Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf) and obtained a double master's degree in Sociology and Population Studies from the University of Cologne and the University of Groningen. Before joining CeSO, she worked as a research assistant in the Generations and Gender Programme at the Netherlands Interdisciplinary Demographic Institute (NIDI) in The Hague and, in 2021, completed the European Doctoral School of Demography (EDSD) in Barcelona.
