Marion Burkimsher
Marion Burkimsher is an independent researcher affiliated with the University of Lausanne. Since completing a Masters in Demography from the University of Geneva in 2008 she has followed up on various research projects, particularly in the fields of fertility trends and religious trends. She has presented papers on these topics at several international conferences.
In an earlier phase of life, her PhD from the University of Manchester was on the topic of “The internal hydrology of an Alpine glacier”. So what is the common thread between that and her current interests? She is a Geographer at heart, who enjoys looking in detail at dynamic processes with variations over time and space.
