Weiwei Zhang
Weiwei Zhang is Associate Professor of Sociology in the School of Psychology, Sociology and Rural Studies at South Dakota State University. Dr. Zhang is the State Demographer of South Dakota and also serves as the state representative for the Census Bureau’s Federal-State Cooperative for Population Estimates (FSCPE). Dr. Zhang’s scholarly work focuses on the development and application of demographic, spatial, and statistical methods to interdisciplinary research that integrates different perspectives, data, techniques, and tools to study the connection between people and place. Dr. Zhang has a M.A. degree in Sociology from Bowling Green State University and a Ph.D. degree in Sociology from Brown University.
