Daniela Ghio

I am currently a scientific expert at the Joint Research Centre, European Commission. I earned my Ph.D. in Demography from the Université de Montréal, with a specialization in migration and integration policy. Prior to joining JRC, I have collaborated with several international, European and national institutions to support evidence-based policy decisions, enhancing cooperation and social dialogue among stakeholders. I have developed population projections and foresight research activities, adopting demographic and econometric modelling, such as the multilevel models to project population structures by demo-spatial patterns, accounting for interactions of different components at global level, to give insights of differences in quality of life and vulnerability of population targets across and within regions.
