James O'Donnell
James is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of Demography at the Australian National University.
James completed a PhD in Demography in 2019. His research was focused on the demographic dynamics of housing and homelessness across time and space. He is particularly interested in how financial and labour market factors intersect with personal biographies, family and household composition and housing markets to produce this dynamic.
Prior to commencing his PhD, James worked in the Australian Public Service for the Departments of Employment and Health and in the community not-for-profit sector in Canberra researching homelessness service systems, affordable housing demand and supply and future housing projections. James holds Masters degrees in Economics and Social Research (Demography) and a Bachelor of Economics and Social Sciences.
