Silvio Cabral Patricio

Silvio C. Patricio is a Ph.D. student at the University of Southern Denmark. He holds a Master’s degree in Statistics from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais and has received further training from the European Doctoral School of Demography. His research centers on mortality modeling, combining mathematical statistics with Bayesian approaches and machine learning techniques. Silvio’s work focuses on the challenges of mortality modeling when data is sparse, particularly at advanced ages. He integrates methods that move beyond traditional reliance on p-values for hypothesis testing to enhance the robustness and reliability of mortality models.
