Mariana Fernández Soto
Mariana Fernández Soto holds a PhD in Population Studies (FCS, Udelar), a Master's degree in Population and Development (FLACSO, Mexico), a diploma in Sociodemography (PP, Udelar), and a BA in Sociology (FCS, Udelar). She is a professor in the Population Program and is a member of the National System of Researchers of the ANII. Her main areas of interest are nuptiality, fertility, and family change. She has recently incorporated a new line of research on gender gaps in academic science.
