Joop de Beer
Joop de Beer is Head of the Population Dynamics Department of NIDI. His research interests include population ageing, demographic projections, mortality and fertility. He received his PhD in Spatial Sciences from the University of Groningen. From 1990 to 2000 he was chief of the Population forecasting unit of Statistics Netherlands and from 2000 to 2004 head of the Demography department at SN.
