Ezra Gayawan
Ezra Gayawan is a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Statistics, Federal University of Technology, Akure. He earned his B.Sc and M.Sc in Statistics from University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria. In 2010, he received his PhD also in Statistics from the same University. In 2012, he did his postdoc at Centro de Desenvolvimento e Planejamento Regional (CEDEPLAR), Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil. His research interests include spatial and semiparametric analyses, age pattern of fertility and mortality, Bayesian hierarchical modelling, and determinants of demographic processes in Africa. He is one of the pioneer members of the Nigerian Young Academy (NYA). He is an Editorial Board member of Spatial Demography.
