Ignacio Pardo

Ignacio Pardo works at the Programa de Población (Facultad de Ciencias Sociales, Universidad de la República, Uruguay). His research interests lie in fertility measures, reproductive behavior, family change, and population policy.

He completed his PhD in Sociology at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2011, after completing a Diploma on Analysis of Sociodemographic Data and earning an undergraduate and Master’s degree in Sociology at the Universidad de la República (Uruguay).

Ignacio teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on population and development, social structure and demographic behavior, and a thesis seminar. As for 2015–2016, he is adjunct editor for the Revista Latinoamericana de Población (Relap), the journal of the Latin American Population Association.
